All-Orange County forward Drew Viney was dismissed from the Villa Park boys basketball team Monday, Villa Park coach Kevin Reynolds said.

Reynolds said an accumulation of affairs led to his decision to cut Viney.

“There is one thing led to this decision,” he said.

Viney doubt that Reynolds would return to the team as it prepares for the final week of the regular season and playoffs that begin next week.

“I do not see any way that would happen,” he said.

Reynolds declined to specify what happened that led to Monday action. Reynolds and Viney held a meeting Monday afternoon, after which Reynolds confirmed his decision.

Viney could not be reach for comment Monday.

Viney, a 6-foot-8 high level with which it signed in November in Oregon, was an All-County first-team selection last season. This season is averaging 28 points a game. At Villa Park’s most recent game, a 75-59 loss to Campbell Hall of North Hollywood on Saturday in the Nike Extravaganza at Mater Dei, Viney scored 27 on 10 for-17 shooting effort on the ground.

The defense, however, Viney game has been lethargic, sometimes, like their offense in motion when he does not have basketball in their hands.

Villa Park is No. 7 in the county. The Spartans are 17-6 overall and 6-2 in the league century. They are in second place behind Canyon, which beat Villa Park in their two league encounters, including a 64-55 home victory Canyon last week.

Marriott Vacation Club International to build 340 vacation villas and townhomes in Grande Lakes, site of the JW Marriott Hotel and the Ritz-Carlton.

Site work for Marriott’s Grande Lakes Lakeshore Reserve, began July 7 in the first 76 condos and 18 townhomes, which will be completed in the summer of 2010. The villas ranging in size from 1185 square feet to 1655 square feet and will have two floors, townhomes.

DeWitt Excavation Inc. of Winter Garden is doing the work site. A general contractor for the project will be selected in early autumn. SB Architects Miami provided design services for the project.

Sales of the units will begin July 12 with prices ranging from $ 26,000 to $ 40,000 depending on the unit and the season selected.

Lakeshore Reserve is the first Marriott Vacation Club to share ownership with a hotel JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton. Club members will have access to holiday facilities in Great Lakes, including restaurants, golf club and 40,000 square feet Ritz-Carlton Spa.
